The Illinois company has had its assets taken over by Image Systems & Business Solutions.
McGrath’s new parent company, also based in Illinois, is owned and operated by David Boulter, and has been providing customers across Greater Chicago with document management and technology solutions (including office equipment such as printers, MFPs, copiers, and fax machines), Managed Print Solutions (MPS), and office supplies, since 2005.
Morris-based McGrath, meanwhile, has been in business for more than eight decades: The authorised Savin (Ricoh) dealer was first established in 1936 by J.L. McGrath, and now provides document management solutions to customers in the Morris and Joliet areas. It also sells and services printers, copiers, MFPs and fax machines, and is an Essendant office products distributor.
Zygoquest Group’s Mike Dudek and Rich Wisniewski served as advisors to McGrath Office Equipment during the acquisition. Terms of the deal remain undisclosed.
