Marco partner with SwedishAmerican

Marco and SwedishAmerican, a division of UW Health, are partnering to provide care packages to frontline healthcare workers and support a new Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for the Rockford, Illinois community.
It all started with a nearly $20,000 (€16,500) donation from Marco to the SwedishAmerican Foundation through the company’s ongoing charitable programme. The programme returns a portion of clients’ technology purchases back to their charity of choice. Marco chose to dedicate about $12,000 (€10,000) of donation to support hundreds of Swedes’ frontline workers and $7,500 (€6,200) to the Level III NICU.
“The frontline healthcare workers and associates at SwedishAmerican deserve a salute and recognition for their tireless work to deliver remarkable healthcare to the community,” said Laura Wilkinson, Director of SwedishAmerican Foundation.
Supporting efforts like this has been a hallmark of Marco since its inception in 1973. Marco believes it is not only important to do well as a business, but also “do good” and established charitable giving programme with that in mind.
“Swedish American has done so much for the Rockford community, Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin communities,” said Kevin Schmidt, Marco Sales Director who leads the region. “We value our partnership to support the technology needs of the organization as well as their charitable cause. In this uncertain time, we are honoured to help recognize the tireless work of their staff and invest in healthcare for the community.”
