Marco makes surprise donation

Marco announced the results of its latest Community Give Back project, engaging clients to vote on their favourite charity as a part of the company’s charitable programme.
Clients in southwestern Minnesota chose the United Way of Southwest Minnesota as the charity to receive a surprise $1,000 (€847) donation as a part of Marco’s ongoing Community Give Back programme and celebration of the company’s recent acquisition of West Central Shredding.
“We are so grateful for the support from Marco,” said Sarah Kicmal, Chief Executive Officer and President of United Way of Southwest Minnesota. “Our mission is more important than ever as we work to strengthen our communities and improve the lives of local people. We can’t do this work alone. Thank you, Marco, for your support and partnership.”
Giving back to the community is a core value of Marco’s. The company commits dollars every year to support charitable causes across the communities it serves.
“We appreciate everyone who took time to vote, and we are happy to support United Way of Southwest Minnesota and the communities it serves,” said Dawn Zimmerman, Marco’s Chief Marketing Officer. “Marco has been a long-time partner of United Way across the communities we serve and recognize the key impact they have in meeting community needs.”
