Lexmark wins privacy award
November 29, 2018
Lexmark has announced it has been honoured with a 2019 CSO50 award from IDG Communications’ CSO.
The Annual CSO50 Awards recognise 50 organisations for driving innovation in the security field and implementing world-class security strategies and practices.
Lexmark was honoured for its Privacy@Lexmark program, which fosters continuous improvement in the treatment of personal data entrusted to Lexmark, through process improvement, employee awareness and culture change.
“Protecting the privacy of our customer, partner and employee data has always been a priority for Lexmark,” said Brad Clay, Lexmark Senior Vice President, CIO and Chief Compliance Officer. “The Privacy@Lexmark program embodies this priority by structuring our efforts into a best-in-class privacy initiative that looks at privacy holistically–from product and solution design, to our interaction with customers and employees.”
“Lexmark is proud to be recognised by the CSO and its panel of security and risk management experts for our commitment to privacy,” Clay added.
“Amid the seemingly constant stream of news-making security breaches, vulnerabilities introduced by new technologies and increased attention from company boards, today’s security leaders have their plates more than full,” said Amy Bennett, Executive Editor of CSO. “They and their teams are charged not only with protecting their organisation’s critical systems and sensitive data, but with driving business results. Our annual CSO50 awards shine a light on projects that enhance an organization’s security posture and also deliver measurable ROI. We are pleased to give them the recognition they deserve.”
Lexmark Data Protection Officer Greg Anderson will accept the award and present the project at the CSO50 Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona, in April 2019.
