Lexmark recognised as a military friendly employer

The designation recognises employers that have substantive programmes that promote positive outcomes for service members, military spouses and veterans within their organisations.
Lexmark announced that it has been named a Top 10 Military Friendly Employer for 2023, marking the eighth consecutive year Lexmark has been awarded the designation for its commitment to veteran and service member employees.
“Lexmark takes great pride in receiving this Top 10 Military Friendly Employer Designation,” said Sharon Votaw, Lexmark Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. “At Lexmark, we strive to support our veteran community with progressive military leave policies and a variety of employee engagement and development opportunities specifically designed to help them succeed.”
Institutions earning the Military Friendly Employer designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. Over a thousand companies participated in the 2023 Military Friendly survey.
Methodology, criteria, and weightings were determined by VIQTORY with input from the Military Friendly Advisory Council of independent leaders in the military recruitment community. Final ratings were determined by combining an organisation’s survey score with an assessment of the organisation’s ability to meet thresholds for Applicant, New Hire Retention, Employee Turnover, and Promotion & Advancement of veterans and military employees.
“Companies earning the Military Friendly Employers designation elevate the standard for military programmes globally; they have invested in substantive programmes that promote positive outcomes for service members, military spouses, and veterans within their organisations,” said Kayla Lopez, Director of Military Partnerships, Military Friendly. “For these employers, hiring military is more than just the right thing to do; it’s a standard that makes good business sense.”
