Lexmark opens new SA headquarters
November 2, 2020
Lexmark announced the opening of its new South Africa headquarters office and Solutions Centre at Monte Circle in Johannesburg.
After 15 years at its prior location here, the Lexmark team has relocated to a four-star green-rated energy efficient office space in Monte Circle. The space combines a state-of-the-art Solutions Centre with Lexmark South Africa headquarters’ operation.
“The investment in a new Johannesburg site reflects our commitment to the region,” said Nicholas Reed, Lexmark General Manager in South Africa. “Advances in technology and the way we structure our business means we need a space that enables us to collaborate with multi-disciplined teams from across the globe. This new space allows our South Africa-based team to service our customers more effectively than before.”
In the Solutions Centre, Lexmark experts will provide detailed and personalised demonstrations to partners and customers, providing hands-on opportunities to try out Lexmark’s latest print and multifunction devices.
Giant Leap, an interior architectural practice specialising in corporate interiors, designed Lexmark’s new space. Known for creating spaces that inspire efficient and innovative work, Giant Leap recently won the German and American Good Design Award for its locally manufactured furniture.
“With the challenges businesses face due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, we are seeing more customers interested in how our cloud-based technologies can enable more efficient document workflows that we help design and implement. Our Solutions Centre is set up to demonstrate these solutions, from design to implementation,” said Reed.
While COVID-19 precautions prevent the team from hosting a large group event at this time, the team said it looks forward to welcoming customers and partners with health and safety precautions in place.
