Lenovo has expanded its product offerings with the introduction of the Xiaoxin Elephant Laser Printer, targeting both home and small office environments.
The printer, currently available in China, offers competitive features at an affordable price point of 1,299 yuan (approximately $182/ €165).
Designed for efficient black-and-white printing, the Xiaoxin Elephant delivers a print speed of 26 pages per minute (ppm) and supports automatic double-sided printing.
In addition, the printer offers a unique WeChat file printing feature, catering to China’s vast WeChat user base, making it easier to print documents directly from the messaging app.
Lenovo’s decision to use a separate drum and toner system is aimed at reducing long-term maintenance costs. With the toner priced at 99 yuan (about $14/ €13) and capable of printing up to 1,500 pages, the Xiaoxin Elephant promises cost-effective operation.
In terms of connectivity, the printer is equipped with multiple options, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB, offering flexibility for various users and devices. It also supports up to 100 concurrent users, making it suitable for both personal and shared office use.
This launch underscores Lenovo’s commitment to diversifying its product range, moving beyond its core strengths in personal computing to offer value-driven office solutions. The Xiaoxin Elephant Laser Printer reflects the brand’s strategy of tapping into niche markets with high potential for growth.
