Kyocera’s China plant achieves platinum certification

Kyocera Document Solutions Inc. announced that its factory, KYOCERA Document Technology (Dongguan) Co., Ltd. (China Plant), has achieved Platinum certification, becoming the first within its group to do so, under the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Validated Assessment Programme (VAP) audit programme.

RBA is a corporate alliance aimed at supporting safe labour environments and workers’ rights within the supply chain of the electronics industry. RBA conducts a Validated VAP audit programme to evaluate whether member companies comply with high standards related to labour, ethics, environment, health and safety, and management systems based on the RBA Code of Conduct, laws, and regulations.

Kyocera said: “We are proud to announce that China plant has achieved Platinum certification, awarded to those who score a perfect 200 points in the VAP audit programme.”
