The company published a cybersecurity incident notification, informing about an incident that happened in April 2025.
Kyocera informed that its parent company has experienced a cyber security incident during April 2025 involving unauthorised access to one of their servers.
Earlier this month, it was discovered that the company was part of the incident, and resulted in the exposure of certain business data, such as names and email addresses.
Kyocera said: “Upon discovery, immediate steps were taken to contain the incident and prevent further unauthorised access. We are actively working with cybersecurity and forensic experts to fully assess the impact and further strengthen our security measures.”
The exposed data consists of business details, which may be vulnerable to attempts of impersonation and phishing or fraudulent invoices. Kyocera strongly encourages caution and close attention to any unusual or suspicious activity that may be related to this incident.
The company added: “We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused and want to assure you that we are taking all necessary measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
“If further detailed investigations reveal any facts that need to be communicated, we will report them to you accordingly.”
