Kyocera joins Responsible Business Alliance

Kyocera Document Solutions Inc. announced that the company has joined the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) to work with the global supply chain through a common code of conduct.

The RBA is a coalition of more than 190 leading companies working to improve efficiency and labour, occupational safety, environment, ethics, and management systems in global supply chains. RBA members adopt the RBA Code of Conduct as operating principles for their companies and suppliers. The RBA provides tools to assess operations and determine conformance to the Code, as well as Code-related capability building tools for members to use in their own facilities and with their suppliers.

As a Regular Member of the RBA, Kyocera Document Solutions fully supports the vision and mission of the RBA:

Vision:
A coalition of companies driving sustainable value for workers, the environment and business throughout the global supply chain.

Mission:
Members, suppliers and stakeholders collaborate to improve working and environmental conditions and business performance through leading standards and practices.

Kyocera Document Solutions commits to comply with the RBA Code of Conduct in its own operations, progressively implementing the RBA approach and tools in the spirit of the industry’s common goals.

Kyocera Document Solutions also commits to progressively apply the RBA Code of Conduct to its first tier suppliers, to monitor its application to the best of its ability using RBA practices and tools, and to encourage and support its suppliers to do the same, therefore establishing the “Kyocera Document Solutions Supply Chain CSR Procurement Guideline” based upon the RBA Code of Conduct and share it with its suppliers, and work together as a team with associates to implement fair business practices.

Kyocera Document Solutions, as the member of Kyocera group, has declared that “it will provide opportunities for the material and intellectual growth of all our employees, and through our joint efforts, contribute to the advancement of society and humankind” as its management rationale and has managed its business based on the Kyocera Philosophy – the core of management in the Kyocera Group which has the criterion of “What is the right thing to do as a human being?”. By practicing the Kyocera Philosophy on a daily basis, the company will contribute to the Earth, nature and the sound development of society as well as build mutual trust with stakeholders.
