The Japanese OEM has announced plans to expand beyond the imaging sector from its Chinese headquarters.

According to Shine, the company – which currently boasts seventeen subsidiaries across the fields of manufacturing, Research & Development, and sales – is seeking to offer more management and service products, based on a wealth of new technologies.

These new technologies include artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and smart office management, a considerable diversification from its current focus on MFPs and other office devices.

The OEM explained that the popularity of the Internet and smart devices, as well as “booming” requirements in the healthcare industry,” will generate and fuel demand for its new offerings, which includes video monitoring gear and ultrasonic diagnosis systems.
