The OEM announced that the company, in order to help stop the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), it has joined the COVID-19 Countermeasure Declaration as a co-founder.
Konica Minolta, Inc. joined as a co-founder the OPEN COVID-19 DECLARATION intended to stop the spread of COVID-19.
In the OPEN COVID-19 DECLARATION, the declarers commit not to assert, without seeking compensation, any patent, utility model, design or copyright during the time of this crisis, against any activities whose purpose is stopping the spread of COVID-19, including diagnosis, prevention, containment and treatment.
Konica Minolta supplies digital X-ray diagnostic imaging systems, diagnostic ultrasound systems, and pulse oximeters to medical institutions in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and support for medical sites, and provides dynamic radiography technology that is expected to be utilized for early detection of patients with underlying respiratory diseases, that are said to be prone to severe COVID-19 infections.
In addition to these, by joining this Declaration as a co-founder and expanding the circle of declarers, Konica Minolta will contribute to the early termination of the spread of COVID-19 in the field of intellectual property.
