Konica Minolta earns Platinum level

Konica Minolta, Inc. has been awarded a Platinum Level recognition medal in the EcoVadis sustainability ratings issued by EcoVadis of France for its corporate responsibility practices.
The company was ranked in the top 1% of companies evaluated by EcoVadis.
EcoVadis operates an international platform to assess the corporate social responsibility (CSR) of suppliers in respect to environment, labour practices, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The rating procedure is based on scorecards for each participating company, which cover 21 CSR indicators, 190 commodities and 150 countries.
The evaluation environment is built on the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact and the ISO 26000, which takes the categories environment, social, ethics and supply chain into account.
Konica Minolta said it is required for the future society to achieve sustainable growth together with society by achieving both “social value” that contributes to solving problems of customers and society and “economic value” that contributes to corporate growth. Konica Minolta thinks it is a way of being a company and is in line with the idea of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Based on this idea, Konica Minolta said it will continue to challenge innovation that simultaneously satisfies the growth of our business and the creation of new value for the global environment and human society.
