Kodak sees dip in financial results
March 16, 2018
The OEM has published its figures for the fourth quarter of 2017, and the year in full.
The company overall saw its revenue drop from $432 million (€350.5 million) in Q4 in 2016, to $414 million (€335.9 million) in the same period of 2017. The decrease of $18 million (€14.6 million) was replicated perfectly in its Print Systems Division, which fell from a revenue of $279 million (€226.3 million) to $261 million (€211.7 million).
In the Full-Year figures released for 2017, the OEM also saw an overall fall in revenue, dropping to $1.53 billion (€1.24 billion) from $1.64 billion (€1.33 billion) in FY2016. Again, there was a slump too in the Print Systems Division, albeit less so than the overall decrease, as it fell from $1.1 billion (€892.4 million) in 2016 to $942 million (€764.3 million) last year.
Despite this, CEO Jeff Clarke seemed optimistic: “2017 was a year of investment in our strategic growth priorities which bodes well for the future. We also eliminated several business initiatives while continuing to reduce cost and drive greater efficiency in the company. We enter 2018 with a stronger growth profile and more productive operations.”
