Katun partners with PrintReleaf
March 5, 2020
This new partnership enables Katun’s customers to offset paper consumption through reforestation.
One of Katun’s core values is to protect the environment and promote sustainability. The company understands the importance of preserving resources and strives to conduct business with an environmentally friendly approach.
In keeping with these core values, Katun has expanded its offering of eco-friendly customer solutions by partnering with PrintReleaf, a global company providing an automated software platform that makes reforestation a reality. With this software, available alongside Katun’s KDFM MPS packages, customers will be able to offset their paper consumption by converting pages printed into trees planted. With eight registered forestry projects around the world to choose from, Katun customers are in control of where their trees are planted and have access to certification to validate their participation to their customers.
“We are excited to partner with PrintReleaf and leverage their automated sustainability program,” said Heidi Boller, Katun EAME General Manager. “The programme is perfectly in line with Katun’s environmental values and offers us the opportunity to provide our customers with a solution to reduce their environmental footprints, preserve the planet and build a more sustainable future.”
“PrintReleaf is excited to partner with Katun and further expand our global distribution footprint with a company that shares the same environmental values,” said Jordan Darragh, CEO of PrintReleaf. “We look forward to growing and planting more trees with Katun and their customers.”
In addition to this new partnership, Katun also contributes to the circular economy in other ways and encourages customers to recycle their used cores and cartridges with one of the company’s recycling partners. This reduces the amount of waste in landfills and allows materials to be reused for other remanufactured products.
