jaka digital now part of the MORGENSTERN Group

The MORGENSTERN Group, based in Reutlingen, has acquired Freiburg-based jaka GmbH & Co.KG.
In addition to Balingen and Villingen-Schwenningen, Freiburg is already the third location expansion in the company’s anniversary year, in which the MORGENSTERN Group celebrates its 50th anniversary.
With jaka GmbH & Co. KG, the MORGENSTERN Group has acquired a company that plays a leading role in the Freiburg area as a provider of digital solutions, products and services that enable copying and printing. The company has been operating for almost 30 years successful in the field of document management, Microsoft 365, consulting and printing systems, their implementation, procurement of consumables as well as service and maintenance of those used systems.
The new subsidiary opens up additional growth prospects for the MORGENSTERN Group as well as a higher regional presence in the south-west of Baden-Württemberg. “We are convinced of the great potential of jaka digital and its team, which is made up of long-term employees. The company acquisition enables us to further expand our existing customer base, especially in the southern part of Baden and successfully continue the growth course of last year into the current financial year,” emphasised Robin Morgenstern, CEO of the MORGENSTERN Group.
All 17 employees of jaka digital will be taken over and will continue to operate from the Freiburg location in the future. The two previous managing partners Jan Toews and Tim Haas will continue to be in different roles of the corporate group.
The previous partner Jan Toews and Founder of jaka digital, who is now responsible for the area of sales commented: “On the one hand, it is difficult for me to hand my company over to other hands, on the other hand, we have got to know the family-run MORGENSTERN Group as an extremely reliable partner. This was a decisive factor for this step, not least because I think a lot about our employees and the further development of our company. Therefore, I have no doubt that MORGENSTERN will be to have found a professional, trustworthy and competent successor.”
The outgoing partner Tim Haas, on the other hand, will break new ground and in the future will remain associated with his newly founded company ignition teams GmbH in an advisory capacity. “I am looking forward to the future cooperation and the resulting opportunities in the Microsoft 365 area.”, assured Tim Haas, who founded ignition teams together with his wife, Maria Haas .
The management of jaka GmbH & Co. KG will in future consist of Robin Morgenstern, Thomas Morgenstern, CFO of the MORGENSTERN Group and Andreas Schmid, who is already Managing Director of GESSLER + FUNK Office GmbH in Weingarten within the MORGENSTERN Group.
