IOP appoints Business Development Manager
January 31, 2018
Internet of Printing BV (IOP) has appointed Paul Smith as Business Development Manager for the UK and Ireland.
Mark Dawson, co-founder and Managing Director at IOP, revealed that he is “delighted” to have him on board.
“Paul joins us with a deep understanding of the supplies channel in these markets. He has a proven track record of winning significant new business. He knows how to help resellers tackle the challenges presented by an ever changing market landscape. He is focussed and full of energy – a powerful combination which will be instrumental in taking IOP forward in the UK and Ireland.”
Paul Smith is well connected in the reseller community and joins IOP after more than 6 years service with Beta Distribution and 9 years in the Office Supplies Division of Xerox. In addition to his channel specific experience, Paul also has a successful track record of working with corporate enterprises. He will use this to help drive business back to IOP’s network of Authorised Reseller Partners. As IOP explains, Smith “understands the power of branding to deliver value which will help resellers optimise their margins.”
“IOP has a unique, exciting and powerful portfolio of products, services and solutions. These will unquestionably help resellers take advantage of opportunities that come with change. IOP’s range of 3D printers, supplies and services is specifically designed to help drive new revenue streams. IOP’s IBM brand of replacement toner cartridges will optimise margins. The software solutions will help both transactional resellers and those in the managed space drive customer loyalty. This is especially important given the increased “Amazonification” of the channel. I am delighted to be on board with such an innovative and forward thinking organisation, that places so much importance on the independent reseller channel,” said Smith.
