i2ma launches comprehensive cartridge and WEEE recycling service

October 15, 2024

i2ma, a provider of environmentally responsible recycling solutions, has introduced a new service aimed at tackling the growing issue of toner cartridge and Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) disposal.

As businesses and consumers face increasing pressure to adopt sustainable practices, i2ma’s new service offers a seamless solution to handle both toner cartridges and small electronic devices, ensuring that these materials are disposed of responsibly and efficiently.

The newly launched service from i2ma is designed to cater to a wide range of clients, including businesses with significant cartridge and WEEE disposal needs. By offering the collection and recycling of both original and compatible toner cartridges, including recycled options, the service provides an inclusive solution for businesses striving to meet environmental targets.

The process is straightforward. Customers initiate the service by requesting containers to store their used cartridges. The key component of i2ma’s recycling programme is the ECO-BOX, a specialised container designed to hold both toner and inkjet cartridges. These boxes, measuring 60x40x30 cm, can accommodate large volumes of used cartridges. For businesses with smaller recycling needs, a more compact version of the ECO-BOX is available at 25x30x40 cm, providing a flexible option at a reduced price.

Once the containers are filled, customers notify i2ma for collection. The filled boxes are collected on a scheduled date, and new, empty ECO-BOX containers are provided upon request.

In addition to toner cartridges, the service extends to WEEE, providing businesses with a streamlined solution to dispose of small electronic devices. The types of WEEE accepted include mobile and office accessories, such as keyboards, mice, chargers, and memory cards, as well as components like graphic cards and power supplies. However, the service is limited to items that fit within the ECO-BOX, with larger items requiring a separate arrangement for collection.

i2ma’s recycling service also offers comprehensive documentation. Customers receive recycling certificates and periodic reports, enabling businesses to demonstrate their commitment to sustainability and environmental compliance. This feature is particularly important for companies required to meet corporate social responsibility (CSR) goals or adhere to specific regulatory frameworks.

For more information, i2ma can be contacted through their website, i2ma.es.
