HYB warns of counterfeit products

HYB stated that its Zeus toner in Brazil is only available exclusively through its distributor.
Making the announcement, HYB said: “We were recently informed by our distributor in Brazil that there are counterfeit products on the market. A local distributor says he has the means to get Zeus Toner direct from the manufacturer in China.”
According to HYB, this is the second case of toner fraud of HYB’s trademarks being sold in the market. The first case happened in Colombia.
The company explained that it is the sole owner of the Zeus Toner (ZEUS powerful toner) trademark in over 46 countries including Brazil, and with all the efforts and investment it has dedicated to its trademarks, it does not allow any manufacturer or distributor to use “shortcuts” to benefit from the marketing impact and reputation the company has built with its distributors.
“HYB has the right to decide on its authorised sales channel and distributors. Anyone claiming to be a manufacturer or using registered trademarks, logos, slogans and barcodes will be in violation of HYB’s intellectual property right,” the company stated.
HYB added: “Here we would like to announce that DUCOPRINT DUPLICATORS, COPIERS AND PRINTERS LTDA (known as DUCOPRINT) is the exclusive distributor in Brazil of the Zeus Toner brand. Any other channel or sales company that claims to be a Zeus Toner (ZEUS powerful toner) distributor importing directly from us or another unknown manufacturer is a big suspect of being a dealer of counterfeit goods, and HYB is not responsible for the warranty of such products.”
