HP unveils four new printers in India
June 11, 2018
The OEM has launched four new ink tank printers aimed at home, micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) users, as Digit reports.
The wireless HP Ink Tank 415 and 419 printers “are aimed at MSMEs as they are said to print thousands of pages” at a very low cost. Also released at the HP Ink Tank 315 and 319 printers.
The “key benefits” of these new ink tank printers include “usage of high-quality ink, ability of connecting with a range of mobile devices through Wi-Fi Direct” and a “Spill-Free Refill system.”
The 415/419 models can connect to a variety of mobile devices using the Wi-Fi Direct Function; these include iPhones and iPads, as well as other smartphones and tablets. In addition, the Google Chrome operating system “enables users to print from anywhere in the office”, even without wireless connectivity, and the HP Smart app means you can quickly send scans “to email or cloud storage” using a mobile device.
The HP Ink Tank 415 printer “can print up to 8,000 colour pages with a set of three HP colour bottles, and up to 6,000 pages with the HP black pigment ink bottle out of the box.” The 419 model is capable of printing up to 8,000 pages in colour, and 15,000 pages in black and white. HP explains that its original inks “are specially formulated to deliver darker, crisper text and vibrant graphics” while photos printed using the HP Ink Tank 415 printer are “water- and fade-resistant” and can last up to 22 times longer.
Using HP’s spill-free system, replacing the inks in the 415 model is described as being a simple process, as “the bottles can simply be plugged into the tank without any squeezing required”, while the ink levels are “easily visible” and the resealable bottles “adds on to the convenience of the users and minimises wastage.”
“Technological empowerment of MSMEs can enable development of an ecosystem that continuously supports them to deliver the right product, the right quality, the right solution and the right service at a competitive price,” said Leo Joseph, Senior Director, Printing Systems, HP Inc. India. “With our new ink tank printers, we aim to address evolving needs of home users and MSMEs by providing them good quality printing at an extremely affordable cost.”
