Souq.com only rebranded as Amazon.ae a week or so ago but already seems busy signing new partnership agreements.
As reported by The Arabian Marketer HP counts itself as one of the companies who have signed a long term partnership to sell its products on the Amazon.ae site.
According to the publication, “under the partnership, HP will make its entire portfolio of laptop computers, desktops, printers and accessories available to customers via the newly launched website, Amazon.ae, and via its app, which provides a new local shopping experience for customers in the UAE.”
Mathew Thomas, Vice President and Managing Director, Middle East, Turkey and East Africa at HP, told The Arabian Marketer: “We are extremely proud to have partnered with Amazon. Through this exciting collaboration, we are able to provide our clients with a new and enhanced shopping experience. Offering a wide product range, our partnership will not only boost delivery services, but will extend all of Amazon’s usual perks on to our own customers, while enabling Amazon to expand its product offering in the region.”
He continued: “For us, the partnership is a first step in HP’s ambitious growth plans for a fast-growing Middle Eastern market. By expanding our partnerships with leading resellers, channel partner and e-commerce sites, HP seeks to take a prominent position across the region.”
Ronaldo Mouchawar, Co-founder of Souq, Vice President of Amazon MENA to the publication: “At Amazon, we are always focused on delivering the best possible customer experience. One of the ways we do that is through partnerships with great brands like HP and we are thrilled that they continue to join us on this journey. Amazon.ae brings together Souq’s local know-how and Amazon’s global expertise, something we believe will be of significant benefit to UAE customers.”
