HP now offers device life extension for its PCs
March 11, 2024
HP is introducing HP Device Life Extension Service, a new service to extend the useful life of aging devices by securely upgrading performance and addressing the most common issues that impede employee and IT productivity.
With this new service, customers can maximise their IT investments and ease IT workload by upgrading the performance of old devices while proactively mitigating device performance issues, HP explained. At the same time, customers can minimise the computing carbon footprint and contribute to sustainability initiatives by maximising the usable lifespan of IT assets.
Starting in 2024, business customers in the United States will have the flexibility to choose HP Certified Refurbished PCs as part of a transactional or Managed Device Solutions purchase. Every HP Certified Refurbished PC undergoes a rigorous refurbishment process then is tested extensively and inspected to ensure optimal performance and reliability. HP Certified Refurbished PCs are backed by a 1-year limited warranty.
In addition, HP announced that customers will be able to choose refurbished hardware from select, third-party HP Certified Refurbishment Partners. These select partners use HP approved parts and are certified by HP for standardised quality and testing processes conducted by HP experts. HP Certified Partner Refurbished PCs are backed by a 1-year limited warranty.
HP Certified Partner Refurbished PCs are expected to be available in the US, Australia, UK, UAE, Nordics and other select European countries in April 2024.
