HP Inc has unveiled new printing solutions and services designed to help organisations maximise their print fleet while simultaneously strengthening their control.
As Arabian Industry reports, among these new solutions is the HP FutureSmart firmware targeted at HP Enterprise-class printers and MFPs, as well as an Immersive Analytics Service and industry-first integration for McAfee Security Information and Event Management and Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager.
“Empowering customers to take full control of their work environment is central to our office reinvention strategy,” said Tony Bssat, General Manager of the Office Printing Solutions business at HP. “The services and solutions unveiled today provide a step forward in seamless intelligence and industry-leading security solutions.”
HP’s new FutureSmart firmware offers “a cleaner and more intuitive interface for users” and offers new features such as Serverless Job Accounting. It will be included with new HP devices and “can also be applied to HP devices with HP FutureSmart firmware back to 2012 models.”
To enhance security, the OEM is providing integration with Microsoft SCCM and McAfee SIEM, and to gain “a more immersive view of the key driving factors in their print environment” organisations can now utilise HP’s Immersive Analytics Service which “leverages HP Labs’ advances in visualisation and analytics”.
