HP Inc. Chief Executive Officer Enrique Lores has detailed the company’s progress and plans in sustainability, digital equity, and innovation, emphasising their role in shaping the future of work.
In a blog post published on 8 August, Lores said the company is embedding sustainability into all aspects of its operations, from product innovation to community engagement. HP now sources 100% of its U.S. operations’ electricity from renewable sources, part of its broader goal to reach net-zero emissions.
The company’s digital equity programs have reached 65 million people since 2021, according to HP. Initiatives include a partnership with the YMCA to establish more than 320 Digital Hubs in 14 countries, serving over 700,000 people with access to technology, education, and skills training.
HP has received a platinum medal from sustainability ratings provider EcoVadis for the 15th consecutive year, placing it among the top 1% of companies assessed globally. Lores said the company is also working to help customers reduce their environmental impact while improving business outcomes through technology.
As part of its long-term strategy, HP plans to continue integrating sustainability into its global supply chain and operations. The company operates in more than 170 countries.
