Horizon Capital backed DMC closes sixth acquisition

March 16, 2020

DMC is pleased to announce the acquisition of Leemic, adding a further £3.5 million ($4.31 million/ €3.85 million) of revenue to the DMC Group and taking total revenues close to £70 million ($86 million/ €77 million).

Established in 1972 and headquartered in Stockport, Leemic serves a significant number of customers across the North West of England and Scotland. The business will form part of the northern region headed up by Regional Managing Director, Warren Colby, and strengthens DMC’s business in the north, which already has operations in Gateshead, York and Manchester.

Warren Colby commented: “Leemic is an excellent business which we know well having worked together previously with great success. When the opportunity to acquire Leemic arose, we had no hesitation in adding their expertise to the group.”

Simon Davey

DMC CEO, Simon Davey, said: “Warren and I want to expand our presence in the north with high quality acquisitions and Leemic absolutely meets these criteria, with the same customer-centric values and excellent OEM relationships”.

The acquisition also provides DMC with the opportunity to expand into Scotland where Leemic has a growing sales and service operation, the company explained.

Luke Kingston, Partner at Horizon Capital, said: “Leemic is a high quality and well respected operator and a great addition to the DMC Group. We look forward to continuing to support DMC as it executes its strategy to consolidate the fragmented MPS sector as the leading B2B document service provider.”

The DMC group said it has a clear strategy to consolidate the fragmented MPS sector with high quality acquisitions and create a market-leading managed services provider.

Horizon Capital first invested in DMC in July 2018 and since then the Group has made five acquisitions, diversified its offering and expanded its geographic reach across England.

Most recent acquisitions were Condor Office Solutions, Systems Technology and CSL Business Machines.
