HAHN Plastics (North America) Ltd has revealed that it has recently completed its “new amazing boardwalk project” using its own hanit product.

As Howard Waghorn, the company’s President, revealed, the boardwalk is made out of 100 percent recycled plastic, is 100 percent rot and maintenance free, is weather and vandal resistant, and offers a long service lifespan.

HAHN Plastics has its roots in Germany, where Ulrich Kossin founded HAHN Kunststoffe GmbH in the Hunsrück, one hour from Frankfurt, pioneering the recycling of plastic packaging. Initially, the company faced “some major teething problems” but eventually went on to become the “market leader for recycled finished parts.” A number of HAHN divisions have since been opened around the world, including in the UK, France and Canada.

HAHN produces its own hanit product, described by the company as “easy on the back and the purse”, being “lighter than concrete and cheaper than stainless steel.” The company adds that, “Due to its individual composition, hanit can be adapted to any application.”
