Gold Coast becomes Epson MFP distributor
September 28, 2018
Gold Coast Technologies has announced an agreement with Epson America.
In accordance with this partnership, Gold Coast will distribute Epson’s WorkForce Enterprise inkjet multifunction printer (MFP) and WorkForce Pro colour inkjet printers to businesses in Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach Counties.
Epson has reinvented office printing with an industry-leading print technology centred on the PrecisionCore chipset. At the heart of this technology is an inkjet printhead that is engineered to deliver high-quality prints that’s scalable to speeds that had not been seen before in an office inkjet printing solution. The PrecisionCore print head is driven by razor-thin, high-density microchips packed with up to 800 nozzles per inch that generate up to 40 million precise dots per second with astonishing ink placement and accuracy.
“This next-generation print technology is threatening to disrupt the $55 billion (€47.4 billion) copier/printer industry and we’re excited to be selected by Epson as the first distributor in South Florida. This new technology is a game-changer for the copier/printer industry, which hasn’t seen any technological changes to the laser-based office copiers/printers for the last 25 years,” said Bob Collins, General Manager of Gold Coast Technologies and a 37-year industry veteran.
This proven inkjet technology found in the Epson’s WorkForce line of printing solutions delivers multiple benefits for customers, depending on the unit deployed. The Epson WorkForce Pro WF-5000 series and WF-6000 series deliver lower office printing costs up to 50 percent versus colour lasers, while the WorkForce Pro WF-8000 series printers can save up to 40 percent when compared to similar printing solutions. The WorkForce Enterprise WF-C20590 MPF delivers up to 100 ISO pages per minute – the fastest print speed in its class, while the WF-C17590 offers 75 ISO pages per minute due to PrecisionCore Line Head Technology. Due to Epson’s proprietary MicroPiezo print technology, the WorkForce Enterprise family of MFPs utilise up to 50 percent lower energy costs compared to today’s current generation laser-based copiers. Best of all, because of fewer moving parts and the use high ink-capacity options, the WorkForce printer line requires less intervention than laser products.
“Epson recognizes the expertise that Gold Coast Technologies brings to its clients and we are eager to collaborate with the team to help their customers boost productivity and lower printing costs,” said Jarrod McCarthy, business development manager, Epson America. “We are happy to help expand growth opportunities through Epson’s innovative WorkForce inkjet colour printer portfolio to help our dealers differentiate themselves in a saturated market.”
