GM Technology embraces team life

October 30, 2019

The company managed to raise more than €800 ($889) for “Your kilometres give us life”, a charity race held in Alamillo Park, Santiponce (Sevilla), Spain.

On 27 October the Alamillo Park was filled with good vibes, emotion and a lot of solidarity on the occasion of the celebration of the popular charity race “Your kilometres give us life”, an initiative that supports the fight against childhood cancer, organised by the Virgen del Rocío University Hospital and the SEPHOP Foundation (Foundation of the Spanish Society of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology).

Excited about the initiative, more than 50 GM Technology employees, along with their families, participated in the race against childhood cancer. GM Technology said it applauds the collaborating charities for the impeccable organisation of the event and especially for promoting projects that favour sport, actions for social purposes and the integration of people motivated by the same purpose: Raise funds for research and treatment of child cancer.

The GM Technology team managed to donate more than €800 ($889). Thanks to the collaboration of all involved, that donation will help “small superheroes” to fight against this serious disease.

To motivate the runners and show their support, GM Technology made yellow team t-shirts which were designed with the name of all the participants and that of their relatives to encourage and create a team union.

GM Technology said: “All our runners, both large and small, enjoyed running and after the race, families and colleagues share together a great day of concerts, children’s activities with clowns for the little ones and a solidarity bar for the audience.”

This year’s race managed to beat the record, with a total of 6,000 runners talking part. Among Gm Technology employees, and in the different male and female categories, the company highlighted the following persons and their race winning position.

  • POSITION 603: Pablo Vázquez, son of Juan Carlos Vázquez.
  • POSITION 668: Ana Iglesias
  • POSITION 669: Martín Abadie

“Thank you all for your generosity and dedication. And we will continue betting on activities that help improve people’s quality of life!” GM Technology concluded.
