March 28, 2024
G&G, under the Ninestar umbrella, solidifies its position in the printer consumables market with an impressive array of 5,841 patents.
G&G, a leading Ninestar brand, has announced its accumulation of 5,841 patents as of June 30, 2023. The initiative to prioritise patent development began in 2006, with the introduction of patented solutions for Brother’s TN4 and 5 series of toner cartridges. This was part of a broader strategy to innovate within the industry and ensure compliance with existing intellectual property rights.
One of the challenges addressed through its patent development was the Canon dongle gear patent, which presented a significant hurdle for manufacturers of compatible products. The company responded by creating its Non-Rotating Gear technology, dubbed “Blue Drive,” which provided a novel solution that respected existing patents while improving product performance.
The range of patented technologies spans a wide range of products, including ink solutions for HP DesignJet series printers, patented toner cartridge replacements for Brother TN 3600 and 2510 series printers, and the Dual-Eco inkjet line-up for Epson Workforce Pro series printers, and addresses the need for proprietary solutions.
Ninestar is one of the largest manufacturers of printers and consumables, producing Lexmark and Pantum hardware and consumables, and is a prominent player in the third-party supplies industry. Highlighting the company’s role in advancing technology and innovation.
