Fujifilm targets global growth with A3, A4 devices

September 27, 2024

Fujifilm Business Innovation expands its global footprint, integrating advanced technology and sustainable practices into office solutions.

In a business briefing, Fujifilm Holdings said it intends to ramp up its global strategy for A3 and A4 office devices. It aims to strengthen its already commanding market position in Japan and Asia-Pacific while focusing on expansion into Europe and North America.

The Business Innovation (BI) segment seeks to maintain its leadership in A3 multifunction printers (MFPs) and grow its share of high-end A4 devices, targeting both large corporations and small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs).

A crucial strategy component involves leveraging IT and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to develop environmentally optimised devices integrated into a broad range of digital transformation (DX) solutions. Fujifilm sees these tools as central to its future, enabling continuous customer service offerings that help businesses transition digitally. This emphasis is part of a long-term vision to sell office hardware and position itself as a solution partner in corporate transformation.

Beyond device sales, Fujifilm is prioritising sustainability. The company is committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 25% by 2026, compared to 2019 levels. Efforts include developing energy-saving technologies and advancing resource recycling, particularly through its Circular Economy initiatives. Fujifilm aims to create products with minimised environmental impacts, incorporating these sustainability measures into every step of the product lifecycle, from design to disposal.

Geographically, the company plans to expand into new markets. Fujifilm’s strategy includes increasing direct and indirect sales in North America, Europe, and China while maintaining its substantial market share in Asia-Pacific. This international expansion is supported by a broad network of dealers and OEM partners, targeting both existing users and non-users.

Fujifilm is positioning itself as a formidable player in the global office device and solutions market by combining technological advancements, sustainability efforts, and a broadened global reach.
