FUJIFILM starts toner remanufacturing centre

Originally announced in May 2024, FUJIFILM Business Innovation has now established the Circular Manufacturing Centre to collect and remanufacture used toner cartridges from printers sold in Europe.
Fujifilm announced the establishment of the Circular Manufacturing Centre at FUJIFILM Manufacturing Europe B.V., in the Netherlands, to promote resource circulation in Europe. As a first step, the new manufacturing centre will collect used toner cartridges from printers and remanufacture them into new toner cartridges.
In the Circular Manufacturing Centre, FUJIFILM Manufacturing Europe B.V. will collect the used toner cartridges from printers sold in Europe. Those toner cartridges will be disassembled, cleaned and inspected after collection, and then remanufactured as new toner cartridges for shipping within the European region. This started in June 2024.
In the future, FUJIFILM Business Innovation plans to expand these remanufacturing processes to other products, such as remanufactured multifunction printers and spare parts for production printers.
Furthermore, FUJIFILM Manufacturing Europe B.V. supplies all of its own electricity from on-site wind power generation and from a purchased wind power generation company. Therefore, the newly established Circular Manufacturing Centre can also achieve virtually zero CO2 emissions from the electricity it uses. FUJIFILM Manufacturing Europe B.V., has a history of more than 40 years of manufacturing various Fujifilm products, and its location in the Netherlands makes it well positioned for efficiently shipping products right across the European continent.
