FUJIFILM Holdings’ FY2030 greenhouse gas emission reduction target has been validated as “1.5°C goal” by the Science Based Targets (SBT) initiative.
FUJIFILM Holdings Corporation announced that its greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction target for FY2030 has been validated by the Science Based Targets (SBT) initiative, as a scientifically based target for achieving the “1.5 degrees Celsius goal” set out in the Paris Agreement.
In 2017, Fujifilm Group drew up the Sustainable Value Plan 2030 (SVP2030), a CSR plan that approaches corporate social responsibility from solving social issues through business activities and taking environmental and social considerations into account in business processes. Under the SVP2030’s priority issue of addressing climate change, the Fujifilm Group has revised its GHG emission reduction targets upward in 2021, and the SBT Initiative certified the revised targets.

- Reduce GHG emissions across the entire product lifecycle*3 by 50% (compared to FY2019 levels)
- Reduce GHG emissions from its operations*4 by 50% (compared to FY2019 level)
Under the Green Value Climate Strategy for achieving goals set out in the SVP2030, the Fujifilm Group said it will promote production activities with a lower environmental impact and delivering products and services with excellent environmental performance in order to reduce GHG emissions.
