FUJIFILM Business Innovation moves into remanufacturing A3 devices

FUJIFILM Business Innovation introduced resource-recycled multifunction digital printers, ApeosPort-VI C5571 R and C3371 R.
FUJIFILM Business Innovation Asia Pacific launches two remanufactured A3 colour digital multifunction printers, the ApeosPort-VI C5571 R and C3371 R from the ApeosPort-VI C series. The printers were developed based on the principle of treating used products as valuable resources instead of as waste. Sales will commence from 15 September in the Asia Pacific region.
In a circular economy, it is paramount to maintain the quality and consistency of materials used in recycled products. FUJIFILM Business Innovation said is committed to sustainable development and has been bolstering its environmental strategy with various initiatives, such as collecting used products from users to adopt a closed-loop system.
The company added that its remanufactured printer series reduce environmental impact with their parts reuse rate of 84% (by weight), and CO2 emissions reduced to 56% as compared to newly manufactured printers throughout their product lifecycles.
Equipped with Smart WelcomEyes technology, printer readily detects a user approaching the machine and automatically exits sleep mode within five seconds or lesser, using the instant heating IH-Fuser technology.
High resolution prints at 1,200 x 2,400 dpi using Super EA-Eco toner, one of the smallest toner particle sizes in the industry. ApeosPort-VI C5571 R prints at 55 pages per minute, while ApeosPort-VI C3317 R prints at 35 pages per minute, in both colour and monochrome (A4 LEF).
Both products are equipped with copy, print, and one-pass duplex automatic scanning functions.
FUJIFILM Business Innovation established a company-wide recycling policy in 1995 and a circular production system examining the entire product lifecycle, from product planning, development, and manufacturing stages to disposal was introduced in the same year. Aiming to achieve infinite “zero landfill”, used products are collected, parts are selected, and reused through applying recycling technologies.
