FUJIFILM and Konica Minolta establish joint venture

FUJIFILM Business Innovation and Konica Minolta signed a shareholders agreement to establish a joint venture company.
FUJIFILM Business Innovation Corp. and Konica Minolta, Inc. announced that they signed a Shareholders Agreement (Joint Venture Agreement) on 8 July to establish a joint venture to coordinate the procurement of raw materials and parts.
This agreement is the result of a feasibility study for a strategic alliance in the multifunction printer (MFP), office printer, and production printer segments that began in April 2024.
Through the newly established joint venture, FUJIFILM Business Innovation and Konica Minolta will leverage their extensive supplier networks to strengthen their business foundations by establishing a robust supply system for their products and streamlining their business processes.
The joint venture is expected to be established in Shin-Yokohama, Kohoku-ku, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture. The two companies are looking to set up the company by September 2024 and are looking at 223 employees (162 employees from FUJIFILM Business Innovation and 56 employees from Konica Minolta).
The shareholder ration will be FUJIFILM Business Innovation 75% and Konica Minolta 25%.
