Fuji Xerox signs first global partnership with Japanese company DocuSign and launched a new “Electronic Signature Cloud Service” to digitise the contract conclusion process.
Fujifilm Group’s Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. announced it is the first Japanese company to have DocuSign, Inc. The companies have signed a global partnership and launched the “Electronic Signature Cloud Service”, which digitises the process of signing, and storing various contracts in Japan and the Asia-Pacific region.
The digital signature cloud service is related to DocuSign’s solution that completes the contract signing process such as signing contracts, passing to and storing contracts with customers, and storing them on the cloud, and the construction and introduction of Fuji Xerox’s paper and electronic document management environment. A new service that combines know-how to streamline the process of concluding contracts between companies.
With the introduction of the service, electronic contracts can be uploaded to the cloud, and both contractors can sign electronic signatures to conclude contracts. “By completing all procedures on the cloud, we shorten the lead time required for paper contract delivery and respond in real time, from contract conclusion to storage, regardless of country or region,” Fuji Xerox explained.
In addition, the ability to log the operation of electronic contracts by users ensures the reliability and security of the entire electronic contract process. The service is also characterised by a cloud-based user interface that supports “simple and easy-to-understand operability”.
Regarding the management of contracts that have already been saved on paper and cannot be digitised by this new service, the contracts can be digitised using Fuji Xerox’s MFPs and scanning solutions, and its document management cloud service, which can be used in conjunction with both paper and electronic contracts.
