Flexiworld files complaints against Xerox

On 29 June Flexiworld filed four separate complaints alleging patent infringement by Xerox.
The alleged patent infringements in all four complaints relate to Xerox’s Airprint features, ConnectKey functionality and its Print and Scan Experience App.
In its complaints, Flexiworld Technologies Inc. alleges that Xerox Corporation has infringed its United States Patent Nos. 10,642,576 (“the ’576 Patent”), 10,846,031 (“the ’031 Patent”), RE42,725 (“the ’725 Patent”), and 10,481,847 (“the ’847 Patent”), 10,037,178 (“the ’178 Patent”), 10,768,871 (“the ’871 Patent”), 10,841,798 (“the ’798 Patent”), and 11,096,056 (“the ’056 Patent”), 10,140,073 (“the ’073 Patent”), 10,481,846 (“the ’846 Patent”), and 10,761,791 (“the ’791 Patent”) and 9,036,181 (“the ’181 Patent”), 10,140,071 (“the ’071 Patent”), and 10,873,856 (“the ’856 Patent”).
The complaints were filed in the United States District Court for the Western District of New York and Flexiworld is requesting jury trial and past and future damages to be paid by Xerox.
In recent years Flexiworld has sued most of the printer OEMs. In March this year Lexmark were sued. Last year it was Brother and in 2021 Epson were on the receiving end of Flexiworld legal action.
