Firmware updates for Sharp and Ricoh devices

Zhono tests its chips and confirms that the firmware updates do not affect its solutions.

In April 2024, Sharp and Ricoh released the latest firmware for the Sharp MX-61 series copiers and Ricoh MP C4504/3004/2504 and IM C2510 series copiers (see figure 1).

After testing, Zhono’s engineers verified that its compatible chips used in these series copiers are not impacted by the OEM firmware upgrade, and that the chips function correctly on the printers in both previous and current models.

The company said: “Zhono will continue to monitor OEM firmware upgrades (see figure 7) and remain committed to providing customers with safe and reliable chip solutions.”
