Featured Exhibitor: The Jolly Savage Group
January 12, 2023
Hall CMF.2, Stand A01
The focus of this year’s exhibition is to showcase our European company, the French based TJS Toner Surplus, which opened in 2020 to help mitigate the impact to our European trade brought about by Brexit. And of course, with the disruption caused by Covid 19 last year, this is the first time we have been able to shout about it and introduce this new side of our business properly.
Having a dedicated European base allows TJS Group to continue serving our long standing EU partners with the same great products and service they enjoyed previously from the UK parent company, only without the difficult import and customs issues, and the additional costs EU companies face when buying in from the UK.
TJS Toner Surplus is based in Thiviers, in the Dordogne region of south-west France. We buy unused OEM toner and ink cartridges of any grade throughout Europe, from IT and cartridge recyclers, office clearance companies, corporate and public sector organizations, stationery distributors and many other industries. These are then sold on through our network of customers Europe wide. You can find out more about TJS Toner Surplus at www.tjstonersurplus.fr.
Commenting on the market situation, Ian Walls, Directeur des operations at TJS Toner Surplus, said: ” The 2 year Covid pandemic followed by the global financial crisis, exacerbated by the war in Ukraine have combined in a perfect storm which has seen people and businesses left struggling to cope with high inflation the rising cost of materials, shipping, energy and fuel.
In these straitened times, it is natural for businesses to tryevery avenue to reduce overheads. Printer consumables are a high cost item so providing people the chance to buy surplus stock at a much lower price will be a vital step towards helping companies survive into calmer waters. With this in mind we expect the demand for surplus to continue growing well into the medium term.
And while people are struggling financially it is easy to lose sight of other important considerations such as the impact we have on the environment. Using surplus toners is a low waste, low energy and cost efficient solution which brings its own environmental benefits and means we don’t have to sacrifice our ethical obligations while reducing our costs.”
Commenting on the show, Walls added: ” After losing the last couple of years to Covid, we are excited to be back in Frankfurt to meet our old friends and to make many new ones. Ambience is the one show we insist on being at to ensure we keep our fingers on the pulse of our industry and to shout about all the great things we hope to achieve over the coming year.”
