Epson’s PrecisionCore printers earn GREEN award
April 26, 2022
The DataMaster Lab GREEN Awards are for the machines which, due to their design and manufacture, the technologies employed and their manufacturers’ distribution strategies, have the least overall impact on the environment.
DataMaster Lab explained that energy consumption hits the environment hardest. Electrical consumption varies a great deal among printing equipment, depending in large part on the print technology that the machine uses. However, this Award is not just about electrical consumption.
Edward Bilson, Technical Director of DataMaster Lab said: “We take into account accreditations for manufacturing facilities, levels of noxious emissions – and the nature and lifetime of a machine’s consumables. When you consider the carbon footprint of a consumable item’s manufacture, transportation, distribution and its final resting place in a landfill site, you realize that all consumables need to be designed with the environment in mind, and have the longest lifetime possible. The winners of DataMaster Lab’s GREEN Award have the least impact on our precious environment.”
DataMaster Lab added that its analyses of Epson multifunction printers with Epson’s PrecisionCore Heat-Free Technology prove these products’ low energy consumption, long consumable lifetimes and their small carbon footprint.
The company concluded: “This year 2022, we have decided to give our GREEN Award to all the Epson PrecisionCore printers and multifunction printers.”
