The OEM has announced that it has expanded its Impact printer family with the new Wider-Format FX-2190II series printers.
Epson America, Inc. announced the new FX-2190II series printers, designed for businesses that need fast, reliable multi-part prints or continuous printing in a 9-pin configuration. Just like the recently announced FX-890II, the FX-2190II series impact printers deliver fast print speeds and it can stand up to dusty, humidity and high-temperature environments.
In addition, the OEM announced that the FX-2190II offers “exceptional value with a large capacity ribbon cartridge” that prints up to 12 million characters, all in a 9-pin impact printer.
“With the new FX-2190II Series Epson strengthens the existing 9-pin narrow and wide portfolio, keeping the legendary printing reliability, powerful productivity and low cost of operation”, said Gabriel Bagnasco, director, product management for Latin America, Epson America.
Key features of the printers include ‘extreme reliability’ with a long life cycle; durable design with very few moving parts; withstands dust, humidity and extreme temperatures; ‘low cost of ownership’ with the up-to-12-million-character ribbon cartridge offering a low cost per page and a reduction in the frequency of user interventions; ‘powerful productivity’ with its ultra fast, Wide-Format, 9-pin printer speeds through multipart forms and reports at up to 738 cps; ‘seamless integration with both new and legacy systems’ which include Epson ESC/P, IBM PPDS and MICROLINE printer languages for greater flexibility; ‘advanced paper handling’, with a simple paper path for remarkable reliability which accommodates cut-sheet paper and continuous or multipart forms up to seven pages thick; ‘easy setup and operation’ with its user-friendly control panel with intuitive setup and configuration features; ‘low power consumption’, the printers are ENERGY STAR V2.0 compliant; ‘multiple connectivity options’, in its two available versions ( FX-2190II and FX-2190II NT.
The Epson FX-2190II Impact printer series is currently available through authorised resellers and sales channels. The FX-2190II has a manufacturer suggested retail price (MSRP) of $504 (€403), while the FX-2190II NT has an MSRP of $778 (€622).
