The OEM held its inaugural business-to-business (B2B) event, ‘B2B Ignite’ at the National Gallery Singapore, showcasing a suite of innovations that help reduce an organisation’s impact on the environment.

Epson Singapore concluded its inaugural B2B Ignite event, that aims to fuel the growth and development of Asia’s Small-Medium Enterprises (SMEs) through the adoption of sustainable technologies.

With SMEs continuing to be at the heart of the region’s economy, accounting for 89 percent to 99 percent of total establishments, Epson said it is looking to empower local businesses with the right tools to tackle the next steps towards being a sustainable business.

Munenori Ando, Regional Managing Director at Epson Singapore said: “Digital advancements, powered by innovation, continue to transform the way we live, work and play, while driving growth and competitiveness in the marketplace. As organisations continue on their digital transformation journey, Epson is here to propel businesses to the next level when it comes to building a sustainable business model for a greener tomorrow.”

Charting its environmental vision for 2050 that is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Epson has declared its commitment to playing a central role in realising a better world by refining its efficient, compact, and core technologies in order to drive innovations that will enrich the world and make it a better place.

Leveraging innovation in tandem with various initiatives to improve the environmental performance of Epson’s products and business offerings, Epson said it aims to reduce environmental impacts across the value chain and offer products and services that provide outstanding business, economic and environmental value in Singapore.

For instance, Epson explained about the Epson WorkForce range of inkjet printers which it says are designed with energy efficiency in mind. It also helps organisations reduce waste with minimal replacement parts needed and is also simpler and more convenient to maintain and operate, resulting in workplace efficiency without compromising speed and quality, Epson added.

“SMEs need to accept the fact that no matter how small or large their business may be, they have a critical role to play in helping reduce our environmental impact on society. Through innovative technologies, Epson helps SMEs deliver more sustainable business operations by reducing power and energy consumption, waste output, and carbon footprint,” added Munenori.
