21 Epson projectors for use in educational institutions and companies have been certified with the “TCO Certified Generation 9.0” award.
All 21 projectors are manufactured in Epson factories that are certified under the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Validated Assessment Program (VAP). This certification also underlines Epson’s commitment to responsible business practices and high levels of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
It also confirms that all projectors are produced with strict respect for the health and safety of all employees, as well as in compliance with high environmental and ethical standards.
TCO Certified Generation 9.0 is the latest version of a sustainability standard that ensures that products awarded the certification meet strict environmental and social responsibility criteria throughout their life cycle, with a focus on areas such as environmental impact, social responsibility and the circular economy.
Leonie Sterk, Senior Corporate Sustainability Manager at Epson Deutschland GmbH, explains: “We are delighted that our projectors have now been awarded the Generation 9.0 ‘TCO Certified’ certificate. We develop compact and energy-efficient products that have as little impact on the environment as possible without compromising their performance.
“This commitment from Epson means that we manufacture a large proportion of our products ourselves, which makes it easier to control working conditions throughout the entire production cycle, from production to delivery. Because public procurement guidelines, e.g. in the EU, place great emphasis on compliance with sustainability targets, sales and customers can use the ‘TCO Certified’ certification to achieve their own environmental and social goals.”
