Epson recently expanded the ink tank printer range in India with further models available to be sold in the country.

Gagetsnow.com reported on the recent released five new models added to the range Epson sell in India. This follows on from the launch in the Philippines of the same models reported on by The Recycler in October last year.

These new ink tank devices have been re-designed to be more compact, with the ink tank integrated into the printer to offer the smallest footprint among all ink tank models.

These printers feature no-spill ink bottles which are “designed to prevent re-filling errors with each ink bottle nozzle uniquely customised to fit its matching colour tank.” Each complete set of four ink bottles provides a yield of 7,500 black and white pages and 6,000 colour pages, and the pigment-based black ink helps to make documents both water and smudge-resistant “when printing in mono.”

These printers also come with an auto-duplex print function, offering users up to a 50 per cent saving on paper costs; Epson is currently the only OEM to offer this.

The new L-series printers also come with Precision Core print heads designed for high performance; as a result, they achieve “high ISO print speeds of up to 15ipm for standard black and white printing and 33ppm for draft printing, for improved business efficiency.”

Delivering “a maximum print resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi, Epson’s Precision Core print heads are composed of Micro Thin Film Piezo print chips for precise multi-size droplet control capabilities, ensuring the greatest details and extremely smooth gradations in documents or photographs.”

Additional features of the L-series models include a “30-page Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) for unattended scanning and copying of multi-sheet documents.”

The ink tank printers support printing on-the-go and come with Ethernet2, Wi-Fi, and Wi-Fi Direct connectivity, “enabling users to print wirelessly within a network, connect to mobile devices or print remotely from anywhere via Epson Connect, Epson’s suite of connectivity solutions.”

The new integrated ink tank printers launched in India consist of the L4150, L4160 models, L6160, L6170 and L6190 models.
