Epson reveals data breach involving unauthorised access to servers.
On 8 August 2024, Epson revealed a significant security breach involving unauthorised server access at Seiko Epson, Epson Sales Japan, and Epson Taiwan Technology & Trading.
The breach occurred on 24 July 2024.
In response, Epson swiftly isolated the affected systems and engaged external cybersecurity experts to investigate the incident. While there is no evidence of data leakage yet, the company is taking precautions and has reported the incident to authorities.
Epson extends its apologies to customers and stakeholders for any inconvenience caused.
