Epson breaks ground on new experience centre
October 28, 2024
Epson is celebrating the laying of the foundation stone for its new Experience Centre in Neuss, Germany.
The company’s technology and training centre is being built on 2,600 square meters. The products on display include large-format machines for textile printing and signage, industrial label printing, robots and innovations such as dry fibre technology, which is used in various recycling processes.
The building will be built to meet the technology group’s requirements. The building itself is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2025. The building’s developer is the bema group, with which Epson Deutschland GmbH already built its headquarters in nearby Düsseldorf in 2022. The project is being implemented by Goldbeck-West GmbH.
Epson currently presents its products and technologies at two locations, Meerbusch and Ratingen. With the new centre in Neuss, the company is creating a central presentation area.
“The Epson Experience Centre will be a place for lived innovation. Our latest Epson technologies and products will find their home here and will often be presented for the first time in Europe. We want to create a place for our customers to exchange ideas professionally and give our expertise an optimal space,” said Michael Rabbe, Managing Director of Epson Deutschland GmbH.
“The building itself also provides the framework for this, being built to the highest ecological standards and thus meeting our demand for a sustainable business. After the successful collaboration in the realisation of our headquarters, we are looking forward to another project with the bema group,” Rabbe continued.
The building is characterised by its energy-efficient construction. Plans include a photovoltaic system with an output of 52 kWh, an air-water heat pump and electric charging stations.
“With the Epson Experience Centre, we are laying the foundation stone today for another building block of commercial use in the Pierburg area. This project is an example of our philosophy of implementing innovative and sustainable construction projects and contributing to sustainable urban development,” said Ralph Schneemann, Managing Director of the bema group.
