Epson and Ricoh named Clarivate Top 100 Global Innovators

Epson wins selection to the Clarivate Top 100 Global Innovators for the ninth time.
Seiko Epson Corporation and Ricoh have been listed among the “Clarivate Top 100 Global Innovators 2022” announced by global information services firm Clarivate Analytics. This represents the ninth time Epson has been named to the list since its inception in 2012.
To select the top 100 global innovators, Clarivate analyses patent trends using the proprietary index based on its own patent data. It evaluates companies according to five indicators: Volume of inventive activity (registered patents in the past five years), Success (percentage of applications approved as patents), Globalisation (number of patents applied in major markets), Influence (frequency of own patents being cited by other companies’ patents), and Technical Distinctiveness. This marks the third time Ricoh has featured on the list.
