Epson and printvision cooperate for “green” MPS contracts
July 24, 2024
Epson and printvision AG from Freising are working together within the framework of the “green contract” concept developed by printvision for its MPS contracts.
With the “green contract”, an independent third party not only calculates the CO2 emissions generated by the operation of an IT product , but also takes into account its production, transport and all service and maintenance operations.
The “green contract”, which is unique in the industry to date, also includes 110% compensation of emissions through climate certificates.
Epson contributes to this concept with its WorkForce Enterprise and WorkForce Pro printing systems, which, because of their HeatFree technology, consume very little power and are therefore very cost-effective in terms of both costs and CO2 emissions.
Martin Steyer, CEO of printvision AG, explained: “Sustainability and environmental protection are a key driver of our company’s actions and with the ‘green contract’ we are now taking the next step. With Epson we have the right partner at our side because the manufacturer’s printers and copiers are very economical in their use of electricity thanks to their HeatFree ink technology and produce very little CO2 over their entire lifespan. In addition, Epson as a company is committed to sustainable business just like we are.”
Jens Greine, Head of Sales Office Print DACH at Epson Deutschland GmbH, added: “As a partner, printvision fits in very well with our own strategy and together we enable corporate customers to set up energy-saving, cost-reducing document infrastructures. Thanks to the Epson HeatFree inkjet printers, the printvision team easily reconciles issues such as energy saving, cost reduction and a small CO2 footprint. The ‘green contract’ is a forward-looking concept, and we are pleased to be making an important contribution to it.”
