Mathieu Rama of ECOS will speak and join a panel at The Recycler Live conference on 15th May 2024 held at the Martins Hotel, Brussels.
Mathieu Rama, a Senior Programme Manager at ECOS, is slated to be the keynote speaker at the upcoming Recycler Live conference, which kicks off this Wednesday, May 15th.
Rama, known for his expertise in environmental standardisation and sustainable product policies, will address key issues facing the recycling industry today. His presentation entitled “Ecodesign and Energy Labelling for more material-efficient imaging equipment and cartridges” will highlight the perspective of environmental NGOs and independent repairers on the upcoming regulatory framework on imaging equipment and cartridges.
ECOS is an international NGO with a network of members and experts advocating for environmentally-friendly technical standards, policies and laws. They ensure the environmental voice is heard when they are developed and drive change by providing expertise to policymakers and industry players, leading to the implementation of strong environmental principles.
Following his keynote, Rama will participate in a roundtable discussion, providing a valuable opportunity for in-depth dialogue on the future of recycling and sustainability. He will be joined by Bram Soenen, Senior Expert in Product Policy for the Belgian government, and Javier Martines, President of ETIRA, enhancing the session with a broad spectrum of insights from governmental and industry perspectives.
The event, which aims to forge pathways towards more sustainable practices, is eagerly anticipated by industry professionals.
Rama’s participation is especially significant given his instrumental role in shaping environmental policies through ECOS. His insights are expected to highlight crucial areas for development and cooperation between governments, NGOs, and industry leaders in advancing global recycling standards.
