ECi gains Lasso Data Systems
December 12, 2018
Following its recent Print Audit acquisition, ECi is at it again, announcing that it has acquired Lasso Data Systems, a provider of cloud-based CRM software for new home marketing and sales.
Lasso’s product suite includes a feature-rich CRM solution built exclusively for the homebuilding industry, including lead management, automated engagement and follow-up processes, email marketing and comprehensive reporting capabilities. Lasso will become part of ECi’s Residential Home Construction Division, and the team will report to ECi’s Residential Home Construction President, Scott Duman.
Founded in 2005, Lasso serves more than 500 builders, real estate developers and new home sales agencies on thousands of communities in North America. With this acquisition, ECi has added a market-leading CRM solution to its product suite that includes MarkSystems, its flagship ERP for homebuilders, and LotVue, its site map software for homebuilders and developers. The addition of Lasso will further broaden ECi’s ability to serve the homebuilder market. ECi will continue to develop, support and sell Lasso as both a vendor-agnostic standalone CRM solution, and as an integrated bundle with MarkSystems and/or LotVue.
“ECi has always been committed to fostering our customers’ entrepreneurial spirit and giving them the resources they need to profitably grow their businesses,” said Ron Books, CEO of ECi. “A large part of that strategy is always looking for new ways to make our technology offerings as well-rounded as possible. Adding Lasso, a widely used and broadly recognised CRM for homebuilders and developers to our suite of solutions, will give our customers another way to grow their businesses as efficiently and competitively as possible.”
“Since our founding, Lasso’s goal has been to collaborate with our users to create software that makes it easier for homebuilders to do their daily tasks, build deeper relationships and radically improve their sales results and ROI,” said Dave Clements, CEO of Lasso. “Joining with ECi will help us accomplish that goal on a much larger scale than we could on our own, and we’re excited to realise our new potential.”
The deal closed on 6 December 2018 and terms were not disclosed.
