Under the auspices of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, the Emirate is rolling out the Dubai Paperless Strategy as of this week.

The Emirate’s Crown Prince, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum announced via his official LinkedIn profile that the Dubai Paperless Strategy has been launched this week. The goal of the strategy is “to transform Dubai into the first smart and sustainable paperless government in the world by 12 December 2021.”

It aims to “eliminate 1 billion papers annually used for government transactions in Dubai today, and will save time spent on processing paper transactions.”

The Crown Prince explained, “Smart Dubai is tasked with overseeing the implementation of this strategy, and we call on relevant government departments to work with them as one team to ensure rapid implementation.”
